Winter Woods

Event Details:

This year, journey down the rabbit hole at Winter Woods 2026 and encounter some of literature’s most intriguing and beloved characters, including the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and many more curious faces along the way.

The woodland trail will once again showcase a series of unique sculptural installations created by local community groups, schools, businesses, charities and individuals, celebrating the creativity and talent found throughout Oban and the surrounding area.

At the end of the trail, visitors can enjoy a warm Winter Woods welcome in the event marquee, where children can take part in free themed crafts and perhaps join the Mad Hatter for some games. Marshmallows will be ready for toasting, alongside delicious themed cakes and hot drinks from Jasmines Cakes, plus freshly baked, wood-fired pizza from Vagabond Pizza.

Each ticket includes return transport from Shore Street in Oban.

  • Entry is strictly by minibus shuttle from Shore Street only, outside the Premier Inn.

  • The woodland path is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.

  • Children aged two and under travel free but must either be carried in a carrier or sit on a parent’s or guardian’s knee on the bus. All other children will be allocated a seat on the bus and must have a ticket.

  • There is strictly no public parking or drop-off at the event.

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Dogs are strictly prohibited, regardless of size.

  • Refreshments will be available at the Forest Food Court. Free crafts and face painting will also be available for children.

  • Please bring a torch and wear suitable outdoor footwear and clothing. Be prepared for cold and wet weather.

  • Adult Ticket: £9.75 (+booking fee £0.76)

  • Kids Ticket: £4.75 (+booking fee £0.37)

  • Kids 2 and Under: FREE

Please note: access to the woods is via online tickets only, there are no cash sales at the gate.  For Health & Safety reasons online ticket sales end 1 hour before the event opens on that evening.

Conditions of Sale:

  • Entry: This event is by e-ticket. Please bring your e-ticket with you for entry. It is essential to keep your e-ticket safe, as any copies will be invalidated by the venue’s security system.

  • Cancellations: If the event is cancelled, your booking will be fully refunded, minus any applicable fees. Significant changes to the event, such as a change in the headline act or venue, may also qualify for a refund. Weather or other unavoidable circumstances may not result in a refund if specified by the Event Organiser.

  • Refunds: Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, or replaced if lost. If an exchange or refund is necessary, please contact Oban Winter Festival directly.
