What an incredible sight the 2025 Oban Winter Festival Creel Tree turned out to be – standing proudly on the green at the Esplanade outside Markie Dans, glowing with community spirit and capturing the hearts of visitors and locals alike. This beautiful installation wasn’t just a decoration… it was a dream brought to life through generosity, kindness, and the shared pride of people near and far.

Throughout 2025, local businesses, families, friends, and supporters from across the world donated to help make the Creel Tree a reality. Every contribution — big or small — helped transform an idea into a spectacular symbol of Oban’s creativity, resilience, and warmth. And judging by the smiles, photos, and constant stream of admirers, we think you’ll agree… it was a huge hit.

The Oban Winter Festival Creel Tree will be returning this year – join us for the the official switch-on, which is happening on Friday 13th November and will start off the Opening Parade for 2026!
